We hope you can join us for our Thanksgiving Feast on Friday, November 20th. 

 

Please look for and return the RSVP form to your classroom teacher. If you cannot make it, maybe you can help by sending in something. We can only accomidate up to 2 family members/student. DSA siblings may NOT attend the feast.

 

There will be $2.00 charge per guest for eating turkey. You must return the money ahead of time with your RSVP form. You do not have to eat turkey. Students will be charged their normal lunch rate (full, reduced, or free).

Potatoes (mashed, casseroles, wedges, etc.)

Macaroni and Cheese

 

Ms. Kaiser’s class

Desserts (cakes, cookies, pies, etc.)

Muffins/ breads (corn bread, blueberry muffins, pumpkin bread…)

 

Mrs. Leonard’s class & Mrs. Delgadillo's class

Vegetables (corn, raw vegetable platters, casseroles, etc.)

 

Ms. Gotshall’s class

What happens at The Thanksgiving Feast?

 

First each class will play a song on the hand-bells for the families. Then the students will join with their family members to go through the buffet line. Students sit with their family and friends to enjoy a delicious meal together. Students will be supervised on the playground while the other teachers and volunteers clean up. The classes will perform in the following order:

Gotshall
Leonard
Katz
Kaiser
Delgadillo

 

8:00-8:30 and 9:25 – 10:20 Set-up

We need as many helpers as we can get during this time to assist us in moving tables, and setting up food.

 

10:20 – 12:00 Feast

We need helpers to serve and assist while eating. We take turns by class.

11:45 – 12:30 Clean-up

Students will be supervised on the playground while the other teachers and volunteers clean up. We will need several volunteers to clean up and put the classrooms back in order.

 

Of course we would be more than happy to have you for the entire time.

 

If it is easier for you to sign out your child after the feast you can do so in the office.
